SYNOPSIS
The Orchestre National de France has chosen French music as the theme for its final concert of 2021. Built around the figure of Jacques Offenbach, the program designed by Cristian Măcelaru takes us on a journey through the French repertoire of the 19th and early 20th centuries. We come across Emmanuel Chabrier, Hector Berlioz, Claude Debussy and Camille Saint-Saëns. To interpret this festive, danceable program, the Orchestre National de France enlists the services of Franco-Romanian violinist Sarah Nemtanu and Portuguese clarinetist Carlos Ferreira.
