SYNOPSIS
“Leave a Legacy,” a film by Black Bean Productions, chronicles the Chem Chem Association’s mission to restore Tanzania’s Kwakuchinja Corridor. In 2008, founders Fabia and Nicolas discovered a landscape ravaged by illegal logging, poaching, and overgrazing. Human activities had disrupted ancient wildlife migratory routes, leading to dangerous confrontations. Partnering with Burunge Wildlife Management Area and other associations, the association embarked on a bold journey to balance human and wildlife coexistence. Through community empowerment, education, and conservation efforts, their dedicated work over fifteen years has revitalised the corridor, transforming it into a thriving haven for wildlife once again.
