SYNOPSIS

The Malilangwe Trust, based in south-eastern Zimbabwe, is a wholly Zimbabwean, non-profit making organisation of a charitable nature, that focuses on harmonising conservation initiatives, community outreach and commercial tourism activities. The Malilangwe Scouts are the Trust’s anti- poaching unit, whose approach is based on seven pillars: Leadership, Intelligence, Funding, Recruitment, Training, Strategic Development and Community Engagement. Through this, the Trust has managed to curtail rhino poaching.
